Students work together to design and build a colony on the moon. Along with gaining the knowledge and experience from constructing their lunar colony, students discover crucial aspects to surviving and thriving in outer space. Students develop a nutrition plan for colonists, learn about different models of government and create their own, and study real astronaut journals and read and write science fiction to gain a stronger understanding of the current realities and wildest dreams of human life in space.
